Residents in local communities play a critical role in advancing environmental changes through the democratic process. To engage these voters, CLCV Education Fund uses the findings from our opinion polling and research to develop compelling messages and civic engagement campaigns across California. We also partner with other local environmental and public health organizations to implement outreach and education strategies, register citizens to vote and involve voters more deeply in the democratic process.

Increasing Civic Participation and Engagement in Environmentally Impacted Communities
CLCV Education Fund is preparing to launch a civic engagement program that ultimately empowers California’s fastest-growing minority voter group and activates eligible voters on behalf of environmental and other issues through the democratic process.
By conducting outreach and education with the goal of converting Asian American/ Pacific Islander Americans in Los Angeles County to Permanent Absentee Voter (PAV) status, this pilot project has potential to significantly impact statewide voter turnout, especially in traditionally low turnout elections and on ballot measures.
