The Healthy Schools Act of 2000 required public day care centers and K-12 schools to notify parents of the pesticides expected to be used at the schools and to allow parents to sign up for a notice whenever pesticides were applied. AB 2865 (Torrico) extends the same notice requirements to private day care facilities.
